An access log is a text file that contains an extensive report on all the files accessed by your site visitors. All the files which were requested in one way or another shall be included, so if you have a PHP script program and a visitor opens only the home page, for example, you may find many files inside the log. The reason is that there are components on the home page that are embedded - parts of other webpages, pics, etc. All these files will be listed in the access log, allowing you to get a complete picture of the way your Internet site performs. The data is in plain text format, so the logs are occasionally termed "raw data" too. An access log shows the name of each requested file, the path to it, the date it was accessed, plus the user’s IP address, Internet browser and Operating System. More info, such as the referrer Internet site, is oftentimes included as well. A log file can be processed by various desktop apps for statistical purposes as an addition to the web stats generated by your web server.

Access Log Manager in Cloud Hosting

When you choose one of our cloud hosting plans, you will get thorough access logs for all of your Internet sites. Once you sign in to your Hepsia Control Panel, you can go to the Access/Error Logs section where you will see a complete list of the domains and subdomains that you have added or created in the hosting account. You'll only need to click on the On button, which is located on the right-hand side of every hostname and our cloud platform will start generating logs immediately. To stop this function, you will have to follow the very same steps and click on the Off button. The domains and subdomains can be handled separately and whenever you want. You'll find a download link inside the Logs section of the CP for every log generated by our system, allowing you to save the file to your personal computer and view it or use it with some log processing software.
