A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the messages sent to non-existent addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an obsolete address or has made a spelling mistake. The negative aspect of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of unsolicited bulk messages, but this issue can be fixed using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also essential to know that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot forward inbound emails to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort if you have a cloud hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-laden, yet surprisingly simple to work with, and it will enable you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with just a few clicks. All the email addresses that you have set up will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and next to each of them you’ll see a small "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will activate the feature, clicking on it once again will disable it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you already have another one with this option activated or if you have active email forwarding.
